All Registrations

East York Tennis Club offers a variety of programs and events for our Adult members. 

Programs and activities include:

  • Mens and Ladies competitive teams (Play at other Clubs)
  • Montly BBQ and Clinic
  • Weekly Round Robins
  • Ladders

In addition to the included programs, we will offer a vareity of group lessons and clinics available for purchase.

Some adult group lessons are available to non members. These are mostly the morning sessions. You need a guest or a Parent account to sign up for these.

Sign up and/or purchasing of these programs is done from inside your EYTC account. Below are the lists of the group lessons available to purchase.

Adult Programming 2025

Registration Details

  • Registration for EYTC Members opens on March 1st.
  • Registration for Non-Members opens on April 1st.

Our Adult Programs run on three-week cycles, starting in May and continuing through mid-October. When registration opens, available options will be listed below. At EYTC, we aim to create a clear pathway for all players, from total beginners to advanced 4.0+ players. If space allows, single drop-in sessions are also offered on an "à la carte" basis.


Rating System

  • Beginners: 1.0–2.0
  • Advanced Beginners: 2.0–2.5
  • Intermediate: 3.0–3.5
  • Advanced Intermediate: 4.0+

Clinic Details

  • Duration: 1 hour per session
  • Cycle: Three weeks
  • Class Capacity:
    • 6:1 ratio (Cardio Tennis, Instant Tennis)
    • 4:1 ratio (Drill and Play, Learn and Play)
    • 3:1 ratio (3 and Pro)

Policies

  • No drop-in make-up sessions are offered for missed classes.
  • Injury or illness is handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • A $25 administrative fee applies to credit card refunds.
  • Full club credit or refund is available up to 4 weeks before the program start date.
  • Within 4 weeks and during the program: If the spot is filled, prorated club credit will be issued (if applicable).

Rain Policy

  • Club credit will be provided if a class is canceled due to rain.
  • If 30 minutes or more of the class has been completed prior to rain, it will count as a full class, and no credit will be issued.

Class Types

Drill and Play
These high-intensity, high-repetition programs are pure fun! They focus on practicing skills learned in our Learn and Play clinics and emphasize tactical, point-based play. Sessions run 60–90 minutes, with a coach-to-player ratio of 4:1 (minimum 3 players).

Learn and Play
These classes help players progress through the Adult Pathway while improving their singles and doubles game. Sessions (60–90 minutes) focus on technical and tactical instruction to enhance skills efficiently. Coach-to-player ratio is 4:1 (minimum 3 players).

Live Ball
This fast-paced doubles game sharpens competitive play and teamwork. Come solo or with a partner! The objective: you and your partner must win 4 points before losing 2 against the Champion pair. Winners become the new Champions. Coaches ensure continuous action.

Stroke of the Week
This clinic focuses on improving a specific stroke each week. Examples include forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves. It’s an excellent opportunity to refine specific aspects of your game.

Instant Tennis
Perfect for beginners, this introductory program teaches the basic fundamentals of tennis. Each 60-minute session covers stroke development, rallying, court positioning, and the rules of play. Geared toward new players, this program has a 6:1 coach-to-player ratio (minimum 4 players).

Cardio Tennis
This high-energy, 60-minute class combines tennis drills and games with a fitness focus. It’s suitable for all skill levels. Be prepared to work hard and have fun! Coach-to-player ratio is 6:1 (minimum 4 players).

 

 


Drill and Play Advanced Beginner

These programs are high intensity, high repetition & pure fun! Designed for practicing skills learned in our learn’n play clinics, drill programs are non-instructional more tactical focused point play in nature to allow you to get high volume practice and feedback. Classes will be 60 minutes in length.  Minimun Level is 2.0 (please refer to self rating guide) Coach to player ratio is 4:1 (Min 3 players)
